I do get a bit excited when a favourite book is made into a film but I seldom agree with the way it turns out!

I love this...I'm not very often quick enough to see a film where I have already read the book unfortunately.

I tend not to read the book if I've seen the film and vice versa. I don't want to be disappointed by bad casting, the storyline changing, etc. Equally, on reading the book, I prefer the images in my minds eye as compared to what might/might not transpire on screen.

I usually enjoy reading a book after seeing a movie, if the story grabs me. I do this because I have found books to be superior to a movie. Naturally this is mostly due to the time and budget constraints on movie makers. Good books I have read relating to tv/cinema that come to mind :
